AdSense Spammer #24

Here is another AdSense spammer but this one is especially lazy. This guy didn't even bother to even cut and paste some bogus nonsensical text. Check out these beauties with absolutely no content other than the title of a blog. I'm surprised AdSense even attempts to show relavent ads on these splogs. How can there be a contextual ad if there is no content to speak of? He created 1354 splogs more or less like these:

soap-making-book.blogspot.com
soap-making-canada.blogspot.com
soap-making-class.blogspot.com
soap-making-craft.blogspot.com
soap-making-direction.blogspot.com
soap-making-dye.blogspot.com
soap-making-equipment.blogspot.com
soap-making-forum.blogspot.com
soap-making-fragrance.blogspot.com
soap-making-fragrance-oil.blogspot.com
soap-making-idea.blogspot.com
soap-making-ingredient.blogspot.com
soap-making-instructions.blogspot.com

Can you tell when each blog was created? I was just wondering if all these soap-making-* blogs were created at nearly the same time. That should be another clue that Google could pick up on if they cared.

No. I do not have a way to know for sure when a blog was created. However I can retrieve when the blog was last updated and that's one of the information I use to correlate blogs.

There are lot of information Google has that they can use to stop splogs. They obviously know the blog creation date and time as well as the ip address used in creation. I'm sure they also maintain a list of proxy servers to thwart AdSense click frauds. I think you know where I'm going with this.

Based on the existing splogs in your database, can you tell how often those splogs are updated? Are many sploggers just into set and forget?

Majority of splogs now days are just "disposable" splogs. They are created and then abandoned. Splogs like email spams work in terms of large volume so spammers are never satisfied with creating a fixed number of splogs that they maintain. They create as many new splogs as they can because Google allows it at least for now.
